Facility Auto-Approval - July 2026
Facilities can grant auto-approval status to providers who have worked their building before, and then choose which specific shifts to enable it on. This gives the facility two layers of control: who gets auto-approval, and which shifts it applies to. For Providers, this means faster schedule creation with guaranteed acceptance at facilities where they've been marked as Auto-Approved
What is it?
You grant auto-approval status to providers who have already worked your building, then choose which shifts to turn it on for. When one of those providers claims an enabled shift, they are booked instantly, with no manual review step from you.
How much control do I have?
Two layers. You decide who gets auto-approval, and you decide which shifts it applies to. It is not a rules engine or a black box. You are choosing your own trusted list and pointing it at the shifts you want. Nothing auto-approves until you add providers to that list.
Who is eligible?
Providers who have worked your building before. You are extending trust to people your team already knows, not opening the door to strangers.
Do the providers know?
Yes. A provider is notified when you add them to your auto-approval list, and they can see which of your shifts they can claim and be booked instantly.
What happens with last-minute cancellations?
If an auto-approval shift falls through at the last minute, your auto-approved providers are notified that it is open for them to claim directly. That is often the difference between a covered shift and a scramble. (This is the improved Auto-Assign behavior, now built into Auto-Approval.)
Can I remove a provider's auto-approval later?
Yes. You manage the list, so you can add or remove providers whenever you want.
What if an auto-approved provider cancels?
There is no automatic penalty or automatic removal right now. That discretion stays with you. If a provider is not holding up their end, you can take them off your list.
Does auto-approval cost extra?
No. Standard billing applies.
Why it matters:
Shifts filled faster, with the providers you already count on, and less manual approval work for your team.
