Discover the proper procedure for canceling your shift to safeguard your eligibility on Switch.
Overview
When you agree to take on a shift, you are making a commitment to the Facility to fulfill that specific schedule. We recognize that unexpected events can arise, leading to the need to cancel a shift. If you do find yourself in this situation, we kindly ask that you notify us promptly. This allows us to find a replacement as soon as possible. Your prompt communication plays a key role in ensuring continuous care for our clients and upholding Switch's reputation.
If you need to cancel your shift, please follow these procedures:
Cancel the Shift in your App
First, click on your scheduled shift to open up the Schedule Detail tab.
Next, click on "Cancel Shift."
A dialogue box will pop-up confirming that you intend to cancel your shift. Depending on how close it is to the shift start time, you will see different warning messages.
If you do intend to cancel your shift, click on "Yes" to complete the cancellation.
IMPORTANT: Shifts must be cancelled in the app. Please do not contact the facility or a Switch account manager to cancel your shift for you.
