Switch makes it easy to choose which notifications to receive and on what channels
Notifications can sometimes feel excessive, but they play a vital role in keeping us informed at the right moments. With Switch, you now have the ability to customize your notification preferences!
- Login to your account at app.switchcare.com
- Click on your Profile icon in the upper-right hand corner of the screen
- Click on the pencil "edit" icon
- You should now see the following notification settings:
- You can also set your phone call availability preferences. NOTE: at this time, Switch can only commit to making a phone call for Cancelled Shift notifications. Switch will call the User's mobile phone during the hours selected, and if appropriate, will also call the Facility's on-call phone number.
NOTE: Not all Users will have the same list of Notifications. This is dependent upon your Role. For instance, an Accountant might not have access to receive notifications for cancelled shifts.
Banner Notifications
You may also notice brief banner notifications that pop up on your screen in real-time. These notifications are temporary and will disappear after a few seconds. If you log out or step away from your computer, these banner notifications will not be available upon your return. However, you can easily find any missed notifications in your notification center.
Notification Center
In addition to customizing your notification preferences, you will find a notification center within the app, represented by a bell icon located next to your Profile icon.
This center serves as a centralized hub for all your notifications, which are organized into categories: New, All, and Cancellations.
You have the option to mark notifications as read or delete them as needed, allowing you to manage your alerts effectively.
What Notifications Can I Customize?
Bids:
- When Provider submits a bid
- When a Shift is assigned: This is the same as when a Bid is accepted. There are several ways bids get accepted:
- Your facility chooses who to assign to the shift
- Switch assigns the shift based up on a request from your Facility
- The provider auto-assigns themself to the shift - this is only in the case when a shift is cancelled and reopens. This feature ensures quick-coverage of the shift. This feature can be turned off by request.
Shift Cancellations
- When a shift is cancelled by the Provider
- When a cancelled shift is refilled with a new Provider
Billing
- When invoice is issued to your Facility
- When your Facility is charged a restaffing fee for a late-cancellation
