Cancellation & Suspension Policy

Switch strives to maintain the highest-quality staffing platform. That's why we take cancellations seriously.

Frequent cancellations can significantly impact the quality and reliability of the Switch platform, which is why we take this issue very seriously.

At Switch, we aim to be understanding and accommodating, recognizing that unforeseen life circumstances can arise. However, the actions of a few repeat offenders can tarnish the reputation of all providers on the Switch platform.

To deter repeated cancellations, we will impose the following penalties, in addition to deductions in the Provider's Reliability Score:

IMPORTANT: All cancellations MUST be done through the app. Please do not call the facility to cancel, and do not call your Switch account manager, unless you have already cancelled the shift in the app.

Cancellation Policy

  • Shifts cancelled with more than 24 hours notice will not incur any penalties.
  • Should you cancel between 6 and 24 hours prior to your shift, your reliability score will be affected.

    No-Call, No-Show Penalty

Any cancellation after the shift has already started will be considered a it will be considered a No-Call, No-Show (NCNS). Additionally, if you do not clock-in within 2 hours of your scheduled shift start time, you will automatically be marked a NCNS.

    • The first NCNS will result in an automatic 7-day suspension from the Platform.
    • A second NCNS will result in an automatic 30-day suspension from the Platform.
    • A third NCNS will lead to a permanent suspension/disqualification from the Platform.

A Provider has up to 72 hours to dispute a NCNS by providing documentation to support their case. It is at Switch's sole discretion to accept or reject the Provider's case. All decisions will be final.
